When sharing a bed with someone it is important that both of your needs are met when it comes to mattress preference, some people enjoy a softer mattress while others may prefer a firmer mattress, this is just one thing that you have to consider buying a bed for two people to sleep on. Two adults can sleep on a double size mattress however, it may be a little snugger than what you would ideally want, especially if we consider you sleeping positions for example, if you both are side sleepers then a double size mattress isn't a mattress that would be recommend for two grown adults to sleep in. A mattress that would be recommended for two adults to sleep in is a kind mattress however, if one or two of the adults are 5’11 or taller than a super king mattress would be recommended just to give you some room length wise so that your feet aren’t dangling out of the bed. A mattress type that would be recommended is a memory foam mattress or a hybrid mattress as it gives you the best of both world in terms of it being firm yet soft enough to offer you a good night sleep. So yes, two adults can share a mattress however, there are just a few things to consider first.
