How Often Should You Rotate A Mattress.

How often do you rotate your mattress? Unlike bedspreads, mattresses aren't rotated often as people may not know that it is quite beneficial to do so. Flipping or rotating a mattress may extend the life of a mattress, thus creating a better and more functional sleeping surface.

Different mattress types mean that the need to flip and rotate a mattress may vary depends on the type of mattress that you have. If you have a double-sided mattress, it may be better if you flip your mattress and if you have a hybrid mattress, memory foam mattress or a latex mattress you may benefit more if you rotate them.

What is the difference between flipping and rotating?

Flipping and rotating a mattress can prevent the wear and tear that can happen on your mattress.

  • Flipping a mattress

Flipping a mattress means that the bottom of the mattress that was once resting on the bed is now facing up, that would then mean that you would now be sleeping on the side that was previously facing down.

  • Rotating a mattress

If you rotate your mattress, it means that you turn your mattress around 180 degrees, so that the part of the mattress that you would once lay your head on is now that part of the mattress that you lay your foot on.
