How To Find A Pillow That Is Right For You
Sleeping with the right pillow for you and your sleeping position is very important as sleeping with the right pillow can mean that you will get a great night's sleep without the neck and shoulder pain that the wrong pillow will cause you to have.
If you are a back sleeper then the best pillows for you are pillows that are of a medium firm full, a medium firm thickness such as a down or a memory foam pillow would be ideal for you, as these pillows are great for back sleepers. A mid loft with a medium firm pillow is also ideal for back sleepers as it isn't too high where it will cause you to have neck pains nor is it too low that it does offer the support in your neck that you are looking for.
If you are a side sleeper then a pillow that you will benefit from is a firm fill pillow, as side sleeper's ideal require a pillow that will reduce the gap between one's shoulders and neck and one that will reduce the pressure on their neck. Therefore, ideally you would want a pillow that is of a firm fill such as a heavy duty down pillow or a memory foam pillow that is at a low or mid loft to make it as comfortable for a side sleeper as possible.
If you are a stomach sleeper then you want a soft, compressible fill, you want a pillow that isn't too firm and is cushiony as you don’t want the pillow to arch your neck much as it will cause oyu to have neck pain. Pillows that are good for stomach sleepers are a down pillows or feather pillows, you also want a pillow that is a low loft pillow since you don’t want to put much pressure on your neck and you want to still support the natural curvature of your spine.
