Mattress Protectors, and why you need them!

Mattress Protectors, and why you need them!

Before I can convince you of the necessity of a Mattress protector, you’ll need to know what it is exactly. To put it simply, a Mattress protector is a piece of removal bedding that sits atop, or encases, a mattress in order to protect it and the person using it from allergies or irritating things such as Dust mites, Bed Bugs, mould and dead skin cells.

Why use a Mattress Protector?

Now whilst conventionally speaking you can clean your mattress the old fashioned way with a hoover but the task can prove difficult to fully complete, even with the most standard mattresses. A mattress without such protection quickly becomes marked with stains as the perspiration from a nights-worth of sleep easily passes through a cloth sheet and creates an unpleasant brownish-yellow marking along the mattress's surface.

What types of Mattress Protectors are there?

There are various types of Mattress protectors available to suit your personal needs, an example being encasement that directly shields the mattress from bed bugs, typically the kind you’d see in a hotel room. Protectors however, are utilized to guard the mattress against bed-wetting or situations involving allergies. To contrast the protective qualities they can possess, mattress pads and toppers vary in nature but usually provide some kind of comfort to the user.
