Paint colours to brighten your bedroom

We’re all looking for ways to make our bedrooms look just that bit more perkier, aren’t we? Many turn to cute accessories such as lamps and cushions or cool bits and pieces like a new gaming chair and pc. But few think that the very colour of your bedroom walls are what might be putting a damper on your spirits when you're in your bedroom. It may sound silly but research has shown that the colours of your bedroom walls can influence your mood and that you should use bright or tranquil colours for your bedroom to bring a sense of happiness/peace when you're in it. Therefore, here at Furnitureful we’ve decided to create this blog on what paint colours are the most suitable for your room so that you can go into the future with a brand new bedroom that you actually want to hang around in.

Below we’ve covered a variety of bedroom wall colours as well as the moods they can elicit in people. Take a look and see which paints you want to add to your shopping basket:

  1. Muted Yellow

Now, bright yellow could cause you to feel too awake and excited but going for a more muted shade of yellow can lead to a positive and balanced mix of peace and happiness and is very conducive to a good night’s sleep.

  1. Tranquil Blue

If a peaceful sleeping experience is what you're looking for, then look no further: blue is the optimal colour for feeling both serene and having a real and restful night’s sleep. Additionally, blue is a colour that can reduce depression.

  1. Forest Green

Green is the colour of nature for a reason. Nothing is as relaxing as nature and by having this colour you're allowing your bedroom to be a haven for meditation, positive thoughts and conducive sleep that will lead to you waking up feeling well rested and ready for the day ahead.
