Will my mattress fit in a cargo van?

Cargo vans can fit mattresses inside, well most anyway. It all depends on size. There are many different sizes of mattresses as well as cargo vans, and if you are trying to find out if your cargo van will fit your mattress inside, then this post is for you.

Also, be aware that these are for average sizes of mattresses and cargo vans, so check the measurements you have. Also, if your mattress is a couple of cm or inches smaller, it may still fit in the cargo van if you tilt it at an angle! So, keep this in mind.

These are some of the average sizes of beds in the UK

Type of mattress: Measurement (Width x length) 

• Small Single mattress: 75 cm x 190 cm 
• Single mattress: 90 x 190 cm
• Small Double (Queen): 120 x 19 cm
• Double Mattress: 135 x 190 cm 
• King size: 150 x 200 cm 
• Super King size: 180 x 200cm

There also different types of cargo vans, which increase in size, including:

• Small van (150 cm x 160 cm), medium van 
• Medium Van (170 cm x 240 cm) 
• Large Van (170 x 340 cm) 
• Crew Van (140 cm x 150 cm) 
• Drop side Van (200cm x 340 cm) 
• Luton Van (400 cm x 220 cm) 

For a small single bed, you won’t be able to fit mattress in small van. But you can fit the mattress in a medium sized van, large van, crew van, drop side van and Luton van.

For a Single bed, you can’t fit the mattress in a small van, or crew van. But you can fit the mattress in a medium van, large van, drop side and Luton van.

For a Small double (queen) mattress, you can’t use a small van, or crew van. However, you can fit the mattress in a medium van, large van, drop side van, and Luton van.

For a Double bed mattress, you can’t fit the mattress in a small van, or crew van. However, you can fit the mattress in a medium van, large van, drop side, and Luton van.

For a King size mattress, you won’t be able to fit it into a small van, or crew van. But you can for medium van, large van, drop side, and Luton van.

Super king – you won’t be able to fit this is a small van, medium van, large van, or crew van. This may only fit in for only a drop size, or Luton van.

Again, these are rough estimates, you may still be able to fit a mattress in if you tilt it at an angle. As well as this, mattress and cargo van sizes vary! These are standard measurements.
