Yes, you can carry bed bugs home on your clothes. This is the way that bed bugs get into your home. Even if you pick up a small number of bed bugs, they will multiply in a short period.
They can also be in your items like a suitcase if you were travelling , and even in your drawers or on the floor. Just remember, if you’ve seen a bed bug, wash, dry, sort and store your items safely.
Sort out the clothes that you want to wash that are infested and put it in a plastic bag and seal it tightly as you don’t want this problem to spread. Carefully tip the bags that’s meant for the washing machine into the washing machine and keep repeating the process until all the clothes are washed.
Bed bugs will bite you when you have your clothes on but this can sometimes be unnoticeable.
Storing your clothes in your wardrobe isn’t going to help. You must prevent them from spreading around your house by properly storing your clothes. The best way to do this is to store your clothes in tightly-sealed plastic containers or bin bags, so the bed bugs don’t escape.
The only thing bed bugs hate is heat. Since they’re cold-blooded animals, they can survive for as long as they want in the cold but when it comes to heat, their time is pretty limited.
