How to clean upholstered headboard

What will you need to help clean your headboard?

Depending on the fabric your upholstered headboard is made from you will need a mixture of these products. You will need:

  • Vacuum cleaner; it would be even better if your vacuum had a steam cleaning feature and an upholstery brush
  • Fabric cleaner spray
  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Distilled water
  • Moisturising soap and mild detergent
  • Dry cloth
  • Paper towels
  • Bucket to make a cleaning solution
  • Essential oil

How to clean velvet headboard:

First, remove any access moisture from the headboard, If the stain is from a liquid you should soak it up using a paper towel or a dry cloth.

Next, you will need to blot it using a mild detergent mix. You will need to mix water and mild detergent to create a foamy solution and then carefully boot the stain.

Once the stain is removed you will need to dry out the spot. Blot out the stain using a dry cloth or hair dryer.

How to clean a wool headboard:

First, you will need to vacuum the bed thoroughly you remove any dust.

Take care of any fresh stain by blotting and not rubbing, clean the stain gently with a mild soap, water and white cloth.

Steam clean the bed if you are able to and then open the window and doors to allow the bed to fully dry.

How to clean a suede headboard:

First, you will need to use the upholstery brush on your fabric clean to remove any dust, debris and hair.

Next, you will need to use a white cloth and your mild detergent mixture and blot the stain gently until it is removed.

When you have finished cleaning the area you will need to dry it out with a white cloth or hair dryer.
