The range of bed sizes and types available in the modern world is constantly increasing and with it, people’s confusion over which bed they should get. Should you buy a single bed or a king size? Is an upholstered bed frame better than a metal one? We at Furnitureful have decided to help answer these questions of yours by creating the ultimate guide of what bed would be the best for you personally. We'll discuss the different materials that might suit you, whether storage is suitable for you or not as well as what size bed is most appropriate for you. So, without further ado let’s get right into it!

The Range of Materials available

Beds can be brought in a variety of materials such as wood, metal or upholstery. Below, we’ll go into further detail of a couple of different materials to show which one will suit you best.

Wooden

Wooden beds come in a huge range of colours such as a modern looking white or cherry or a more darker and traditional looking oak or pine. Whatever your needs, a wooden bed will last the test of time and add gravitas and charisma to your room.

Upholstery

Upholstered beds are simply beds that are covered in fabric and look stunning regardless of the colour scheme of your bedroom. Available in a range of styles such as faux leather and crushed velvet, you’re sure to find a style and material you’ll love. Check out Furniturefuls own range of upholstered beds here, such as the grey upholstered Ottoman Storage bed.

Bed sizes available

When choosing a bed it’s important to keep in mind whether the bed is for an adult or a child. For adults we’d recommend one of our double or king size beds to ensure you have adequate room. We’d also recommend these beds for couples because most adults will find such beds to be a perfect fit, both lengthwise and widthwise.

For children, on the other hand, we’d recommend smaller beds, like the single bed or buying stacked beds like a bunk bed. Children will generally need less space and often sleep solo, which will mean greater savings for you as smaller beds tend to be cheaper.
