Ottoman bed or divan - which bed is better?
Which bed is better? Ottoman bed or divan bed?
Divan Beds:
Divan beds are made from two parts: a specially-designed divan base and a matching mattress. The divan base is constructed from a sturdy wooden frame surrounded by fabric. It is usually placed on casters or wheels for easy manoeuvrability. It can include drawers and a headboard. The base is then paired with a mattress. The divan base and the mattress are designed to work together to provide a comfortable night's sleep.
Ottoman Bed:
An ottoman bed is a bed with gas-lift hydraulics which lift the base to reveal plentiful storage space underneath. They provide greater storage capacity than a drawer bed since you can make full use of the storage space underneath the bed. They open from either the foot end of the bed or from one side. This makes them a practical option if space is limited in your bedroom. They're also an ideal choice if your bedroom is small.
What is the difference between an ottoman bed frame and a divan bed?
Storage: Divan Beds only have 2 small drawers and Ottoman beds have a big space underneath.Mattress: Divan beds come with a mattress, while Ottoman beds only come with a frame.
Space: Ottoman beds are ideal for small bedrooms as they don't need loads of space, however, Divan beds may require space for opening drawers as they are located on side of the bed.
Availability:
Ottoman beds are available in a wide range of sizes. You can choose from single, or double ottoman beds, right up to king size.
